In this role, you will report to the Site Manager and unite a dedicated and experienced team in delivering top engineering and site services.

Key deliverables:

  • Maintain and further improve the high standard of engineering and site services
  • Manage maintenance and projects within budget and time frames
  • Lead, develop and motivate all staff in this business area
  • Ensure effective people management to meet yearly staff engagement and alignment targets
  • Ensure effective communication between site services and production
  • Oversee consistent application and use of asset management programs (EX/EAM)
  • Assist Project Manager with capital project planning and implementation
  • Ensure capital projects are delivered on time & within budget
  • Review and prioritise capital projects across the business with the Site Manager
  • Ensure effective systems for contractors and contracts
  • Proactively lead a continuous improvement culture, developing capability in your team and the wider business
  • Assist with development and implementation of the company’s energy plan
  • Assist with the development of budgets and manage operating expenses within budget

Required skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary technical qualifications in engineering or similarly qualified by experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical understanding and capabilities
  • Proven ability to deliver productivity through people and develop skills and capability within existing staff
  • Management experience in a GMP and/or FSSC 22000 certified environment
  • Good business acumen and some formal management training
  • Ability to think analytically and problem solve
  • Commitment to processes and procedures
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Good IT and written communication skills
  • An organised work style, forward thinking and ability to manage conflicting priorities
