Immigration

We can make your move to New Zealand a lot easier for you!

Immigrating to another country is a big thing and involves a lot of preparation.

This part of our website will provide you with information regarding immigrating to New Zealand and finding employment.

Things to consider before deciding to immigrate:
  • Can I find job there?
  • What is the cost of living?
  • What are house prices like?
  • What area would we as a family like to live in?
  • What facilities should be there (schools, theatre, beach etc.)?
  • Do I move all my belongings and how?
We can assist you finding a job in the following cases:
  • You have skills that are listed on either the short or long term Shortage list. In this case we will be able to assist you in getting a work permit when you are here in New Zealand or,
  • You have a valid open work permit or residency visa for New Zealand or,
  • You are applying for residency under the skilled migrant category. Please Note that in this case your skills must still be in demand in New Zealand, as Companies can only offer you a position if they can prove that they can not find a person with the right to work in New Zealand to do the job.
In some cases New Zealand registration is required by law to undertake certain employment. Please click here to see the list of professions that require NZ registration.

With regards to getting a job offer, companies in New Zealand do not normally offer jobs “over the phone”. They want to see and meet the person they want to employ. It is also risky on your part to accept a job without having seen the Company, met the people, or having been able to have a look at the area where the job is.

We therefore advise you to come over to New Zealand to find a job and have a look around to see where you would like to live. The chance of finding a job when your skills are listed on either one of the two shortage lists is quite high.
